How does the MegaMillions MegaPlier Work?
The odds of hitting the MegaMillions jackpot are precisely 302,575,350 to 1. That may sound impossible, but plenty of MegaMillions jackpot winners will tell you different, including the winner of the record-breaking $1.537 billion (£1.2 billion) jackpot in October 2018.
With the huge levels that MegaMillions jackpots tend to rise to, the winners of the other prize categories don't usually hit the headlines. This despite the fact that those lower tiers can add up to some pretty impressive sums as well. And those potential winnings can be further boosted by using the MegaPlier.
MEGAPLIER PROVIDES EVEN MORE TENSION
Of course most lottery fans are hoping for that big jackpot win. But if you don't manage to match all five numbers plus the MegaBall, that doesn't mean that the dream of a huge win has to be over.
MegaMillions offers an excellent additional option; anyone who activates the MegaPlier on their ticket will be paid up to 5 times the amount of anything they manage to win. In addition to the regular MegaMillions winning numbers, there is a separate mini-draw to find the relevant MegaPlier factor, which will be a number between two and five. That MegaPlier number is multiplied by the prize you have managed to win on the main draw (excluding the jackpot).
Since the MegaMillion rule changes came into effect in October 2017, it has become about 30% easier to hit the $1 million second prize award. Assuming that you did get five numbers correct to win that prize, with the MegaPlier feature activated this amount would increase to between $2 million and $5 million!

MULTIPLY YOUR WINS WITH THE MEGAPLIER!
Here at Lottoland we also offer the MegaPlier option. For just one pound more you can choose to activate this feature, which will multiply any non-jackpot winnings.
Lotto fans are already familiar with this additional function from the other big American lottery, Powerplay, which also offers the opportunity to multiply winnings by using the PowerPlay feature. The principle is similar, as activating PowerPlay multiplies all non-jackpot prizes by a factor of two, three, four, five and even ten.
The price for the MegaPlier is calculated on the basis of £1 per betslip (the same as for the PowerPlay option with Powerball), so if you fill in six betslips and want to increase your potential profits via the MegaPlier, you will pay £6 more.
THREE STEPS TO BET ON MEGAMILLIONS ONLINE

Step 3: Activate the additional MegaPlier and click Submit!
