How does it work?
Just like the Christmas lottery, El Niño works more like a raffle than a conventional lottery. There are 100,000 tickets per series, which are further split into one-tenth shares called décimos. How do I bet on El Niño?
It couldn’t be simpler to bet on El Niño. Choose a number from 00000 – 99999, select the bet share, the click “Place Bet”.
The bet share feature means that you can whittle your wager and receive an equivalent prize. Our shyest share takes 1/100th of the prize, while you can grab the lot with a full bet – choose this option and you’ll automatically get a 50% discount on your stake.
How much can I win?
El Niño’s top prize is stonking €2,000,000 (approx. £1,700,000), with additional 2nd and 3rd prizes of €750,000 (approx. £646,000) and €250,000 (approx. £215,000).
Just like the El Gordo Spanish Christmas Lottery, the odds of winning the top prize weigh in at a fantastic 1 in 100,000.
